Terrain

Woods, steep slopes, soft sands, stairs and ladders, debris, and marshes are examples of rough terrain.

Hedges, walls, windows, ditches, doors count as obstacles.

Rough

When crossing over rough terrain, count each hex of rough terrain crossed as two hexes.

Higher ground

When attacking a target on lower ground hex, receive a +1 bonus to attack rolls. The combatant must be engaged.

Lower ground

When attacking a target on higher ground hex, receive a +1 penalty to attack rolls. The combatant must be engaged.

Obstacle

Crossing an obstacle expends half of a character’s movement allowance.
