A priest is a member of a cult or a church, under priestly obligations, and a devout believer.
As magic-users, priests have some extraordinairy talents which include the use of soulstone.
Arcanum is the art of making concoctions (both harmful and useful) within the priestly tradition. It requires an arcanum kit, as well as all the ingredients required by the formula.
All formulae work on similar principles and require at least one of the primary and secondary elements in addition to a base, and some souldust.
All ingredients have a value, ranging from one to six, which is required in the brewing of concoction.
Ingredient | Type | Value |
---|---|---|
To prepare a concoction,
Roll six d6s for the first step, and place a single die at the base position. This die cannot move.
Roll the remaining five d6s and place one (or two, if formula requires) into the primary position.
Roll the remaining d6s and place one (or two, if formula requires) into the secondary position.
Roll the remaining d6s and place one into the souldust position.
Now you can brew the concoction by exchanging connected/adjacent die to meet the required values for each item based on the formula. A character's number of available moves when brewing is equal to his INT.
Blessed items are created by priests for a specific purpose through elaborate rituals. They are also mostly found in wilderness or in points of interest, as relics of bygone times, or signs of failure of the past. They can also be created by Priests.
Blessing an item will imbue the chosen item with magical powers. To bless an item, a priest character must be in possession of a soulstone shard, and two cards in your hand, in addition to the item. Once both are secured, the blessing ritual can be performed.
To bless an object, roll an INT check. The result must be lower then INT score, otherwise the ritual fails. In case of a failure; the soulstone is wasted and the item is destroyed. Blessing an item takes two days, after which the Priest requires a full day of rest. Once the blessing attempt is successful, roll a d66 to determine the effect.

Priest characters have the ability to cast daybound spells.
