Forage

Foraging is the act of seeking edible plants, nuts, seeds and herbs. It is available only in wilderness and borderlands hexes. Foraging an oxgang takes about three puncts (half an hour). Searching a hide (hex) for edibles takes a watch.

Roll a d6 for each oxgang, and compare the roll with te table below. Then note it down.

d6
Edible

1

Berries

2

Flower/weed

3

Fruit

4

Mushroom

5

Root

6

Seed/Nut

Once a character covers the whole hex searching for food; whichever roll is found the most is what you could forage from that hex. The number of portions is equal to the number of die with that specific value. If there are equal number of dice with different values, it is considered that you collected both types of food.
