Checks and Saves
Whenever a character attempts at a task (i.e. being proactive) with a probability of a game-affecting failure, you roll a check. For checks (STR, DEX, INT, CHA), roll a d6. Result must be lower than the related ability score.
Whenever a character has a chance of avoiding something, (i.e being reactive) you roll a save. For saves (FORT, REFL, WILL), roll a d6. Result must be equal to, or lower than the related perk score.
Modifiers
The rolls for checks and saves may be modified depending on the nature of the situation. If the situation favours the character, subtract the modifier from the roll, and it is disadvantageous for the character, add it to the roll.
